STEERING COMMITTEE MEETING Roane State Community College - LaFollette, TN at 6pm in the conference room. All public are encouraged to attend this meeting. We are asking for ideas and suggestions with what you want from the Boys & Girls Clubs. We need volunteers to assist with each committee and also volunteers to help with fundraisers and other events. Please plan on attending and help us make a difference!
Fundraiser Events { June 16, 2007 (rain date 6/30/07) = "Sing Upward" Benefit Concert with an all day gospel concert beginning 10:00am and ending 11:00pm. There will be various styles of music but all with Christian lyrics. Advance tickets will be as follows: Adults $8.00; students $4.00; children 5 and under are free. Tickets at the gate: Adults $10.00; students $5.00; children 5 and under are free. We ask that you and your family plan a full day with us, sit back, relax and listen to our local groups! Concessions will be available. Also, each group will have their CD's, shirts, etc. ready for purchase. Please come out and help us help the youth in this county.May 12, 2007 YARD SALE - May 5, 2007 Yard Sale was cancelled due to rain. We will have the sale on May 12th at same location, 612 E. Central Avenue in LaFollette, beginning at 8am until ? Please come by and purchase an item or two, drop off a donation, or just hang around and talk for awhile. If you have any questions, please call 423-563-7590 or 423-912-0752. Pray for sunshine! UPDATE: Thanks to everyone who shopped with us today. We enjoyed talking with the customers, as well as meeting children. People are hearing more about us and wanting this Club to happen. April 19, 2007 - Our next Board of Directors meeting will be held 6:30pm in the Paradigm Church located at the East Gate Shopping Center in LaFollette. April 23, 2007 - Woodson's Mall = TN Titans will be present to sign autographs. Boys & Girls Club of Campbell County will be present with free games for all the children! 2:00p-6:00p April 25, 2007 - LaFollette Country Club - Benefit Golf Tournament (4 person team) - call 423-912-3560 or 423-912-0752 with any questions or team(s) to enter or sponsor. Also, sponsor signs on the 9-hole course with your business or individuals. UPDATE: We would like to thank all who were involved in this benefit tournament. April 26, 2007 - Jacksboro Middle School - Art Contest for children ages 6-12 with the theme "What would you do to improve your county?". Public viewing will be held from 11:00a-1:00pm. The Campbell County Artist Association will be in attendance to judge this event. UPDATE: Austin Ford won 1st Place with his recycling entry. Austin is in Mrs. Bell's 1st Grade Class. Robby Steakley won 2nd Place with his suggestion of more boating activities. Robby is in Mrs. Pressley's 5th Grade Class. Both students attend West LaFollette Elementary School. Each winner received a framed certificate, $15 cash, and a Shoney's meal gift certificate. Congrats to both students! We're very proud of you! The staff will place their winning entries on display in their school. Once taken down, their entries will be published on this website. May 05, 2007 - YARD SALE @ 612 E. Central Avenue in LaFollette. Please call 423-563-7590 or 423-912-0752 to donate any items at least 2 weeks within the sale date. Please bring a friend, hang around and talk awhile, and maybe you'll find that special item you've been looking for! We want to keep the opportunity to help all the children. Come out and be a part of this non-profit organizational event.
